Annual Preventative Maintenance

 About half of our customers will use about 10% less fuel next winter because they did schedule their annual preventative maintenance on their heating equipment.

Here’s the deal. Your home heating system is a major investment and as any intricate piece of machinery it demands skilled maintenance in order to assure that it operates at peak efficiency. (That involves replacing the nozzle, cleaning and adjusting electrodes, and cleaning the retention head; adjusting the dimension between the electrodes and the head, brushing and vacuuming the flue passages and combustion chamber during the inspection of that chamber. We also replace the oil filter and air filters if needed and check pump pressure and safety systems. And among other things, we remove the smoke pipe and clean it out as well as the base of the chimney where the pipe attaches and inspect that connection, oil motors and conduct a total efficiency test that is subsequently recorded and annually monitored at the home office.)

There are many things in life that we take for granted; one of them is that when we twist the thermostat to the right, something magic happens and our home is suddenly warm and more comfortable.
